As you can tell by the list below, just about everyone is back at the market. A few farms, such as DeNoble Farm and Flamingo Ridge, are still delayed because of the cold, wet spring. Both should be at the market next week.

Looks like we’ve got a nice 4th of July weekend coming up. After a late start, the spring and early summer harvest is catching up fast. Ayers Creek Farm returns to the market this Sunday. DeNoble Farm and Flamingo Ridge Farm return soon.

We had a great turnout at the market last week, despite the rain. The chocolate covered strawberries helped, I’m sure. We owe a big thanks to Dave Richardson of Sweetwares for the chocolate and Rick Nitti and the staff and volunteers of Neighborhood House for preparing and handing out the berries.

Weather and berries willing, Liepold Farms should return to the market this week. Unger Farms will definitely be at the market. Baird Family Orchards is tentatively returning mid-month while Ayers Creek Farm is still set for a July 4th return date. I’ll keep you posted.

The first hint of summer comes this Sunday with the return of Unger Farms. They will have Albion strawberries this week and with a little luck, Hood strawberries next week. I can’t wait to start eating fresh Hood strawberries again.
